Call for Workshops

Background

The 10th International Conference of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (ICSUSL 2025) invites compelling workshop proposals in line with this year’s theme, “Synergizing Humanities and Technology for Shaping the Future.”

Our goal is to broaden perspectives, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and inspire future professionals to apply their expertise towards sustainable, ethical, and inclusive technology development.

Workshop Format

Proposals for half-day (3 hours) or full-day (6 hours) workshops are hereby invited, which are to take place from 01st June 2025 onwards. As part of the technical program of the conference, the workshops will be held only physically. Tutorials are open to all registered conference attendees at no extra charge.

Proposal Format:

Proposals should include the following:

  1. Title of the workshop
  2. Abstract (200–300 words)
  3. Intended audience and prerequisite knowledge
  4. Outline of topics to be covered
  5. Duration (Half-day or Full-day)
  6. Resource person(s) information: Names, affiliations, bios, photo, and relevant experience
  7. Motivation and relevance to the conference theme
Selection and Acceptance

All workshop proposals must be sent to the Faculty Coordinators and will be peer-reviewed. The workshop chairs will make a final selection of workshops to ensure variety and relevance to the conference attendees and to best fit the conference schedule.

Speakers for all accepted workshops will be required to sign a commitment to present at the conference within 14 days of notification. Workshop topics and their presenters will be featured on the ICSUSL 2025. Workshop material must be emailed to the conference organizers at least 14 days before the presentation date.
